Safety alert: defective harness buckle on Cosatto All-in-All car seats recalled

UPDATE 11/02/22: Littlewoods has also put out a product safety notice for selected models of the Cosatto All in All+ car seat sold via their website due to the buckle issue. Affected products are PJVMF, PJVMG, PJVMH, PYAC6, PYYE7, PYYE9, QLKTU, and were manufactured between September 2019 and June 2020.

Cosatto has issued a safety alert for the buckle on its All in All+ and All in All Rotate car seats, due to potentially defective components used in the manufacture of the affected buckles.

Cosatto is offering a free replacement buckle for all those that purchased an affected product.

Customers who own one of these multi-group car seats (Groups 0+/1/2/3) for children from birth up to 36kg (approximately 12 years old) should stop using the car seat immediately and contact Cosatto.

Which models are affected?

If you've purchased one of the following models of Cosatto car seat, and it has a batch number between 37/2019 and 24/2020 then it is affected by this safety alert.

All in All+ car seats

• Mister Fox (model number CT4241)

All in All Rotate car seats

• Sea Monsters (model number CT4263)
• Fairy Garden (model number CT4242)

• Hear Us Roar (model number CT4418)
• On The Prowl (model number CT4451)
• One World (model number CT4449)

Locating the batch number

Only batch numbers between 37/2019 and 24/2020 are affected. All car seats from later batches are not affected.

To find the batch number on your Cosatto car seat look at the rear of the seat. There should be a sticker on the right-hand side - the batch number is the right-most number and has the form (WW/YYYY).

If you are still unsure if your product is affected, use Cosatto's online form to check and order a replacement buckle.

What should you do if you own a car seat that's affected?

If you have purchased one of the affected models you should stop using the car seat and contact Cosatto to order a replacement buckle.

If you have already registered your car seat purchase with Cosatto, then the company should have already been in contact about the issue and to organise a replacement buckle.

If not, you can:

The replacement buckle should be dispatched on a next working day delivery service.

What does the manufacturer say?

'As part of an ongoing program of continual product assessment, we have identified a potential safety concern relating to the buckle used in the production of a small batch of car seats manufactured between September 2019 and June 2020 as shown.

'Unfortunately, the manufacture of some of the buckles did not reach the exacting standards set by our quality and safety protocol and contain components that can potentially become defective.
